Monday, July 11, 2005i'm sleepy man. wanted to catch some sleep in the afternoon but by the time i finished doing physics it was like no point. wells anw yesterday's sermon was quite gd. guess people really need the Lord. even people close to us who may seem okay and all but deep inside who knows right? so..will talking help? alvin touched on the topic of boredom for cell. rather interesting. everyone shared on what they feel is boring in their lives. i wrote daily routines. josh wrote having nth to do. individual perspectives. so when we were going thru on what we wrote, someone mentioned that waiting is a boring thing. then alvin asked me if i thot the same way i said no. then i said maybe. then i said depends. well like all the other qns were like depends. individual perspectives. eating the same food everyday was brought up too. is it boring? or it depends? well perhaps if we can just change the way we think and be thankful for what we have in our lives who we have in our lives then perhaps we'll be happier. perspectives. like eating the same food. will it still be boring if you really mean what you say for grace before meals? i guess not. maybe if there's really a meaning in your life then things wldnt be boring. maybe if one learns to be thankful then sadness wldnt fit anywhere. isnt it funny when we get so disappointed when we dont get the things we want in life but when we get the things we need in life we often take it for granted? funny how we search for happiness everywhere else when our source of happiness is right with us? "if God is not made Lord of all, He is not Lord at all." good point. funny how it seems so easy to make Him our Lord of convenience when we have probs or need help but it always seem so difficult just to trust in Him even when things dont go our way? i mean if we can trust God to help us when we need it then why is it so difficult to trust Him when the odds are against us? imagine you going into 7-11 getting something and walking out of the store without paying for it. it would seem absurd not to pay for your stuff isnt it? it's an offence btw. isnt this situation the same with God? He's 24/7 available. and often we ask for things from Him at no cost at all. and sometimes conveniently forgetting to "pay" Him. what if one day He decides not to replenish any more stock. what will happen to us? people not only need the Lord. people need to pray as well. pastor john was talking abt salvation and transformation. if there's salvation, there's gotta be a change in the way you think and the way you act. a song was sang twice yesterday. coincidence? maybe. but somehow people have to listen. or rather read. same song which is familiar to all. it's more than a song to me. idk. it just is.
