Wednesday, June 14, 2006whoa. what a camp. was drained by it man. slept for like 10 hours when i got home. that's like the number of hours i slept in total during the camp.
day 1
i reached church slightly earlier only to see that it was rather empty. i mean like it's 655 man and the bus leaves at 7. haha. anyway teased chris a little cos he reached church at 6 or around there. haha super funny. he was afraid he would be late so he caught the first train at like 530. haha. before that i was telling him to just meet us at the customs so he wont be late. poor thing. played his psp until he was quite sick of it. we all got up the bus and lo, we sat at the back. alvin josh joyce and me. listened to mr brown on the way. crapped, joked, laughed, guitared, sang, slept and prayed. all at the back seat. tried to irritate alvin by asking him if we were there yet but i got tired by it after a few tries. haha what a joke. think we were like the last bus to reach the customs but we were one of the first to leave. cant forget the look on josh wong's face man. super sianded. when we reached seremban, we spotted the hotel. but it took us 15 more mins to reach the place itself. so near yet so far. quick lunch for all the tribe leaders and it was briefing time. my group is fantastic. i cannot wish for a better group than them. they can lead themselves and are hyped up. it was messy at the beginning but hey, things got better. pastor peter even led a cheer. best. late night xboxing. haloed with jemmy josh and alvin.
day 2.
the challenges were well, challenging. think the hotel wouldnt want us back considering the amount of noise we made. oh my group broke a chair too. we squished the bananas adn made the sculpture look like spongebob. it was presentable until it started to turn black. oh well. recreation was crazy. got a sore throat because of that. thankfully josh wong helped me quite a bit. thanks man. i wouldnt be able to handle 30 people without him. when the games started it was chaos. my group's not bad, really. haha. when they call for all tribe leaders to get the stuff needed for the game, they took the time to strategise. when i went back with the stuff, they had already formed the number of teams required, all ready to play. wow. that's what i call a team man. they all had fun and i had too. cheered a lot and coughed a lot too. a.eve was nice enough to bring me a drink during the game. wash up for me was like 10 mins by the time i was done. thankfully andrea let me go first. skipped dinner cos the whole team sort of fasted to prepare for worship. learnt a lot that night. guess we grew as a team after that night. poor chris had problems with his drums though. the mike dropped so he sounded quite dead for a moment. time of refreshing before God that night. when the prog ended, u. kok wai came over and asked me if i wanted to join them for supper at a&w. haha. he's really nice to talk to. so we all went. cant really remember the last time i had a&w. guess that shows how long ago that was. xboxed again till like 2 and that was the first time i couldnt stand halo. couldnt wait for the game to be over.
day 3/4.
went down a bit late for breakfast. was totally stoned. i was trying hard to stay awake during the theme talk. but the speaker was good so yeah, spotted quite a few people snoozing away. the challenges was messy. chewy was in charge of my group until they all started to bully her and alvin swapped with her. never knew claire was capable of such games. haha. the amazing race after that was really amazing for my group. they bonded well i guess. they were so enthusiastic about the game that i couldnt catch up with them. in fact i was lagging behind, running behind them. we murmured our way through genesis quickly and rushed off to the next destination. they didnt need to think for long. in a snap they were off. thank God for such discernment. and we came in first for the amazing race. simeon rules. surprise! i dont know where they get their energy from but when they heard about their next activity they were excited. they immediately sat down to plan and discuss the what where and when of the activity. what to use for decoration, where to do it and when. the night was a blast. prayed till i was quite tired. planned to take a look at simeon's progress in the design of the mascot/emblem but it was already 2am by the time we were done. suppered at a&w. josh looks really spastic when he laughs. even claire tells him to look away so that she wouldnt laugh. the youths played captain's ball and soccer after that. it was nice to see everyone coming together. josh alvin and i were quite dead to join in. we found ourselves a nice spot at the playground and chilled. but then there were mosquitoes so we went up to their room to chat. we gossiped quite a bit and that kept us awake for a while. i started pillowing josh so that he wouldnt fall asleep. talked till around 5 and we decided to stop and nap for a while before breakfast started. within 10 seconds, we knocked out. woke up around 8 and went back to my room. was quite surprised when amanda and andrea havent gone down for breakfast. oh well. everyone slept late or didnt sleep at all. the cheahs looked quite gone. went up to pack and prepare for check out. popped by josh's room when i was done. he was lying on the bed slacking. so i took a pillow and started whacking him. shaun and alvin joined in and we made rhythm out of josh. haha. called claire to join us and she was the one in charge of tickling wawa. the whole process was so hilarious it get me alvin and shaun laughing non stop for 15 mins. it's been a long time since i laughed like that without james around cos of his silly antics. but the laughing was hard to resist. josh wrapped himself with the blanket thinking it would protect him but lo, it was claire up against him. his only defence was to look at claire while laughing. a&w again for lunch. slacked a while before leaving the hotel. slept through most of the ride. josh and i were talking about stuff but we got too tired of answering each other we just drifted to sleep. we were both quite awake when we reached the customs. home sweet home man. but i miss the place and the time spent there. taking the lifts so many time. oh and they have an ice dispenser on every level too. so cool. haha. thank God for the camp.
yesterday.
training at 3. i looked so tired that even coach noticed it. we trained with squash rackets. oh and my string broke while playing with mr. loo against his squash racket. thankfully no more trainings until after exams.
