the paradox of our time.
we have taller buildings yet shorter tempers. we have wider freeways yet narrower viewpoints. we spend more yet have less. we buy more yet enjoy less. we have bigger houses yet smaller families. we enjoy more conveniences yet have less time. we have more degrees yet less sense. we have more knowledge yet less judgement. we have more experts yet more problems. we discovered more medicine yet we have less wellness. we plan more yet accomplish less. we learn to rush and not to wait. we have fancier houses but broken homes. we multiplied our posessions and reduced our values. we learnt how to make a living but not a life. we added years to life, not life to years. we conquered outer space but not inner space.
"we drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch too much tv and pray too seldom."
